That retired repair man says he has around 40 or so radios including atwater Kent (? spelling) and a ton of other brands. Says they are for sale too. I know you cant tell squat without numbers but is it possible that some of these are worth some cash. He said most date from the 1930s to 1940s.

Do yourself a fav and pick up "The Collector's Guide to Antique Radios", at any Barnes and Noble, for like $20. The prices are as accurate as you'll find (if low on some), and it will accurately date just about anything you can run across.
I can't find my copy :(

Things to look for: Radios with a tuning eye tube. Any Zenith. Early plastic sets (pre 1941). Any cathedral set is worth over $200 on EBay. Consoles are worth less than it would cost to ship, unless it's an EH Scott, Zenith, or Silver Marshall, or a very few others.
Offer to sell 'em for a 20% cut...
