To me, draft beer tastes better, is more refreshing, and packs a better buzz than bottled beer. Is it just me? Perhaps there's some science behind this?

I prefer bottled myself. As far as the better buzz, that is from drinking beer from a glass. Poor a bottled or canned beer into a glass for the same effect.

Well - bottle beer is normally pasteurized which basically cooks the beer in the bottle (some use filtering but most don't). This will change the flavor of the beer.
I do prefer draft or if I can find it - cask conditioned beer!!

I know I'm quite buzzed after about 5 bottled beers now. Maybe I need to eat something.....

Draft for sure. Less contamination from the bottle or can.

Draft for sure. Less contamination from the bottle or can.
Or vastly more if the serving establishment does not take diligent care in the cleaning and maintenance of their draft lines, taps etc.

Draft beer is usually better, because Co2 is injected at the time of the pour.. some places use nitrogen, which is even better.. Some beers I won;t even think about drinking out of a bottle or can, such as Guiness... if you like draft, try and find a place that has pulls from a cask.. nothing better!

To me, bottled beer poured into a "proper" drinking glass always tastes the best.

If I recall correctly when I toured a brewery, bottled and canned beer is pasteurized in the bottle/can and draft is not.
The tour guide told us that beer is considered a "food product".
In the hospitality suite, the host showed us that the beer can taste different depending on how it is poured into the glass, as a factor of how much CO2 is released.
By the way, they now limit you to 2 free beers on the tour. :nono:

I have never cared for draft. Used to be a bottle only guy but now I'm a can man.

As long as it is cold, I'm not picky.

I think the Kegs are always cold. Where cans and bottles are allowed to get room temp for storage.
