When using the XLR MAIN OUTS to the amps, I can only get the left channel. When using RCAs on the MAIN OUTS I only get the right channel. I tried doing a master reset and swapping out the tubes but no go. Odd.

Where is the balance set? Thanks, Ron-C slee104611 05-03-2008, 07:38 PM Both needles move and balance is set to 0. ron-c 05-03-2008, 07:40 PM Then the preamp is working since the meters monitor the output. Look for cable tr try a different set of output jacks, the 2200 has six. Thanks, Ron-C slee104611 05-03-2008, 08:41 PM Tried all 3 XLR outputs and same thing - left channel only. Then I tried all 3 RCA outs and only the right channel comes through. Meters are in sync. Could this be a software issue? dashley 06-18-2008, 11:55 PM I had a similar issue with my C2200. When I switched to mono I had audio in both channels. Stero only one channel. ron-c 06-19-2008, 03:08 AM I would have it checked by a warranty station since it sounds like you have a dead side on the output board. Thanks, Ron-C Shane 06-19-2008, 08:45 AM I had a similar issue with my C-46. left chanel would intermitedly switch off. mono button like Dashley would engage both chanels. Took it to a so called authourised repair twice and they found nothing wrong. Finally sent it to the Aussie distributor and they found the fault - faulty reed relay K45. Make sure you take it somewhere where McIntosh have have trained them. Interesting that both C-46 and C2200 have similar issues - hmmmm dashley 06-19-2008, 07:15 PM Yes my fault was a relay as well. DOn't recall the K location. Two weeks past the warranty period, and Mcintosh would not slip it through. That was a bummer. |
