Old deck for FF & RW

I got an old Realist stereo cassette play-only deck, model SCP-3. It has no bells or whistles. Really, all it has is 4 piano key controls (RW, FF, Play, Stop/Eject), an output control, & L&R RCA jacks. That's it. No Dolby or nothing.

Since this isn't a very good deck & is kind of beat up, I think I'm going to use it strictly for rewinding & fast-forwarding my cassettes. Does anyone else have a junky deck that you only use for RW & FF?

I have used a 10 year old Sony run of the mill dual well deck to fast forward and rewind cassettes. I pretty much only used it on used cassettes I have picked up over the years. On occasionally I use it to work out a pre-recorded tape a few times before I play it.
