I have Heresy IIs serial number 8614377 and 8614378. I am wondering what I should do with the crossover caps. If I did a straight replacement, what values/brands, etc should I use?
Or, are there upgrades I should consider?
Also, I see that the interiors of the cabinets have nothing more than a piece of foam in there in between the woofers and the other drivers. Would it be worth it to add some fiberglass or other kind of cabinet damping material?
Weirdly, the backs of the cabinets aren't glued in, just press fitted. I'll probably glue them, but before I do that, I might as well do any work in there that's easier to do with the backs off.
I got these for $200 along with another Heresy I that I sold for $125, so I think I'm doing pretty well. They sound pretty decent with a pair of Mac MC30s.
