Just arived back home 3 hours ago. What an experiance, Why did the fest flash by so quickly. It would be an endless list of things and people that will stay with me forever. Such a warm welcome from fellow AKers, wonderfull hotel and a truely great fest. Theres so many people that I want to mention but my memory isnt at full peak at the moment lol but heres a few that should be thanked for making my first trip to America such a pleasure. Mike Gibson for sorting out the hotel for me, and putting up with my smelly socks. Mikes a true gentleman one of the best. Rabbi Rich for shareing a few jars at the bar, Newman for not forgetting the little speakers, MarkW the loser in the drinking contest ( never take on a Englishman when theres beer about :thmbsp:, Strawman spending time with me all though not fully understanding what I was saying half the time, Allycat and misses for food and MORE beer a nice couple, and countless others who made my stay a pleasure. Sorry for anyone Iv forgot at the moment my heads a little tired as I write this. Im so glad to of met people that now there are faces that I see when reading there names. Thank you once again. Ps musnt forget the meetings outside with the two ladyies for our ciggy fix :smoke:

Though our conversations never lasted much longer then a smoke it was a highlight for me to get to meet you sir. I hope you enjoyed your stay and are welcome back at the fest any time you like.
My wife mentioned you had a long wait before leaving on Monday and suggested having you over to the house until your flight. Of course it was not until we had left and were long since home. I feel terrible. Had no idea you were still there or I would have dragged you back to my place for some listening until your flight...

Steve you were in the most fun of anyone I meet at the FEST and as to who won the drinking contest once I saw you were drinking LITE beer. I knew had to let you win. I mean LITE BEER really what would your mates say if they knew?
Now if you like the jam and jelly I brought you let me know I have a Ukrainian smuggler that can get more into your country for a price!
Glad your home safe.

Geeezzzz. I'm gonna have to take longer naps so I can stay up with the adults. I pretty much passed out as soon as the concert was over. Apparently I missed a good time.

Good to hear you made it home safe and sound #2! I enjoyed every moment and also hearing your stories. Sorry for asking you to speak english, but I think I'm getting a British accent from hanging out with you. Next year we need to spend some more time in the listening rooms and less time chain smoking/drinking. :D

I bet he'd have gotten as big of a kick outta my Hillbilly accent as I would have outta his Limey one... Hint: We DON'T sound anything like the Beverly Hillbillies....That was strictly Hollywood...Uncle Jed was closest to real, though...

Steve might have had a little trouble with some of the southern accents Sandy. And for the record Rich, we started drinking Miller Lite's around 3:00 Saturday afternoon. :smoke:

Mark, next year I need to find your tired ass before 10:00 on Sunday morning.
I saw you eating dinner with the Carolina mafia, but didn't think it would be wise to toss a note tied to a rock down to you.

Modge, Glad to hear you made it home all right and had such a pleasurable stay while you were here. I was the guy with the bag of vinyl and long hair who had breakfast on Sunday with you and the rest. Listen mate, hope you make it out here once again or if the dollar ever gets worth a bit maybe we can show up in your neck of the woods. I understand the British audio shows to be very good. Great to meet you and cheers!, Rob
Happy Listening! :beatnik:
