Lafayette Bulk Tape Eraser

I saw a bulk tape eraser at the GW yesterday and I was curious if anyone's used one before and if it's worth $10 to pick up. It looked very vintage and was heavier than a brick.

Considering that they are getting much harder to find, it might be worth $10 if it works.
