What are your thoughts on this amp? Is one in good condition worth $100 ??

I'll let you know. I have one but havent yet set it up. I'll be using it with Pioneer tuner TX 9800 (recently aligned by Grateful and brought back to service), a Technics Sl 1700 TT, SG 9800 EQ and Sony 2000ES Cd player.
Let us know how you like yours, I'ld be interested in other AK members' impressions of this amp. Didnt purposely set out for a Pioneer system but it just happened that way..........NO regrets!
Yes, it's worth $100 if it's working and in decent condition. I have one and it's my first Vintage Pioneer Amp - that's what brought me to this group to start with, it and a TX-9500II Tuner.
Later, I added a matching EQ and a few other accy's.
It's a very nice neutral sounding amp, almost a warm tube-like sound. Definately better than anything produced in the BPC era. I have a VSX-D1S and, while it's no slouch itself and actually is one hell of a receiver, the old SA-8800 has a warmer and more natural sound. No remote though:D
Don't let the 80-wpc fool you, that's a very conservative rating!
