Well.. since we have every kind of "What are you listening to?" I figured we needed a "What are you drinking?" thread. Seems to go with music...
Doesn't matter if it's tea, coffee, soda, coconut juice, or Johnny Walker Blue.. Name you poison....
Tonight for me, first drink, I just poured a Flying Dog Pale Ale... This morning while listening it was a glass of orange juice...
Maybe we'll all discover something new along the way..

We drank Falstaff senior year in high school (young people, do not read this), it was the cheapest way to get a good buzz. Next morning it was headache city.

Fresh coconut juice.
Hey, you did give that as an option, right? :D I have to get up early to work, too.
I've got a smiley-faced mug, too, but it has his arm as the handle, with 2-fingered "victory sign" being made by the hand at the top. I didn't see one where he was flipping a bird, so this one has to do. There is also a lid, with another miniature hand sticking straight up out of it like a samurai topknot, to serve as a handle for the lid. Weird stuff you find sometimes! :D

I bet you do find some really cool stuff there in Hong Kong.. I'd love to trip through some of the shops there you talk about, and not just the electronics...
My wife got me this mug for x-mas off the bay.. not sure how old it is, but it's old.. I'm betting 70's.. It's taken me a while to warm up to the idea of using it because I know how clumbsy I can be...

Rambutan... that's not like Durian is it?
No- more like Lychee or Longan or Mamoncillo.
Sweet and tasty.
Durian- I'd give it a try, but what I've read, the smell is hardly tolerable. With a taste like banana pudding with butterscotch, vanilla, peach, pineapple, strawberry, and almond, and a consistency of custard or pudding, the part that puts off most westerners is the slight garlic taste to the above, and a scent that many westerners cannot tolerate- though many easterners find it pleasantly aromatic.
Grass jelly is made from boiled fermented Mesona- a type of mint, though not what we westerners consider mint- it's incredibly mild. Mixed with starch, a gelatin is made. Served in a syrupy fruit base, or honey base, or soy milk base, it's taste is mild, and consists of a tepid bitterness, iodine and lavender.
Sounds odd, but it's much more pleasant than it's described. Very cool and refreshing.
