Was out of town Thursday and had a few minutes to kill prior to a meeting with the Utility Director. I noticed this "Humane Society Thrift Store" and decided to check it out. Usual assortment, a little BPC, lots of old TVs and stuff.

Checked out the records and noticed an interesting box set. Verdi - Highlights from Aida.

This is really an album that opens and has sleeves for the records. These are 78s. There are several 12" records and a couple of 10" records. They are RCA Victor Red Seal (Double-sided).

The soprano is Rosa Ponselle and the tenor is Enrico Caruso. There are a couple of duets with Rosa Ponselle and Giovanni Martinelli.

There are no dates on the album or the records. It says "A Victor Musical Masterpiece" on the cover and on the edge of the binder is a number, M303.

I bought it just for the nostalgia factor, and I like opera. Puccini is my favorite, followed by Verdi.

Anyone have comments or info?
