Some of the greatest movie music I've ever heard.

Can someone say what type instrument is making this? Sounds like a violin but I could be wrong. What nationality do you think this music sounds like?

Yes, great soundtrack.

I don't know the instrument, but the main theme is by a Scottish songwriter.

Hi Russ,
I just listened to the song, very beautiful. What i hear is also like a violin, but with a different metal sound. So they could be using different metal strings or even the instrument could be shaped a little different to get that unique sound. I looked it up and it said a scottish fiddle, but i don't know if that's right either. Again this is just a theory, I could be wrong.
