similost 05-12-2008, 09:26 PM I've been a big priest fan since the late 70's... so about time... cept I would have rather seen them back in the 80s... A lot better crowd I'm sure.. too many damn yuppies that like them now.. :(

Analog1 05-12-2008, 09:44 PM I've been a big priest fan since the late 70's... so about time... cept I would have rather seen them back in the 80s... A lot better crowd I'm sure.. too many damn yuppies that like them now.. :(
Yeah, it's funny to go to these concerts now.
The audiences are more diversified from what we saw back then.
You see kids in their teens up to adults in their 60's at these shows, I can't remember seeing anyone over 30 at the shows back in the 80's.
And the women keep they're shirts on too.:sigh:
been a while since i checked their website for tour details, just did. July 22 in Seattle, i bought 2 tickets, will be my 5th time seeing the metal gods
hhibrownsbac 05-12-2008, 10:06 PM All you priest fans should give a listen to(if you havent already) Halfords "resurection", it rocks from start to finish..
ScramMan2 05-13-2008, 09:23 AM I was hoping this show would come to Alpine Valley, no luck.
The women don't keep their shirts on at Alpine either. Linkin Park should be a good one for that, hope it's nice and hot.
similost 05-13-2008, 09:29 AM Well.. a half hour till tickets go on sale... I want to get up front.. my wife wants lawn because that's usually a better party at concerts.. but I tired to explain this isn't a Neal Young show where people shush you for talking.. eeerrr....
similost 05-13-2008, 10:16 AM HOT DAMN!!!! Tickets for two to go see the METAL GODS!!!! I even added the general admission pit to them right in front of the stage!!! (I THINK... I selected the option, but it looks different on the final reciept, EH, we'll see)

Rock Hard, Ride Free
All Day, All Night!
ScramMan2 05-14-2008, 09:39 AM Congrats! And you are going into the pit too? I'm not sure how that would be at this show. All the pits I've seen have some scary creatures in them. YMMV though.
similost 05-14-2008, 09:43 AM Well.. last good show with a pit I went to was Hells Gates, a Pantera tribute band, and a DAMN good one at that.. Nationally known.. I ended up with a cracked rib, and it was worth every moment of it... some times I forget I'm in my 40's.. but a good pit is better than getting in a fight and not going to jail :D
ScramMan2 05-14-2008, 08:34 PM I will have 2 co-workers go with me into any pits at Alpine this summer. Call me an old f**t.
I survived a tour in Vietnam, no need to get hurt over here.
I just shake my head at some of the stuff I see out there.
Cool_Manchu 05-14-2008, 11:02 PM My buddy and I have our tickets for the show at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA. We lucked out and scored 5th row tickets.
I cannot wait for the end of August...
