I am at work so I can't post pics yet. I know the unit power on (there is a god), but cosmetically I think the guy packed this unit with bricks. I had read a bunch of threads regarding how to pack, sent the seller instructions, was assured he followed those instructions, then received the battle scarred SA-9500!!

He did send me the receipt which describes the service work that was done, but wth do these people think. I will deal with the seller as well and see if we can come to an "agreement."

I will post pics tonight, just had to RANT.

As a former shipping container designer for highly sensitive electronics equipment, I shudder and cringe whenever someone else 'responsibly packs' a product and sends it to me.

I remember one time a seller told me he just started using expanding polyfoam so it would encapsulate heavy items (like power amps) and keep them from getting smashed during transit.

When I asked him if he wrapped the power amplifier in a heavy duty plastic bag first, he said "no. . . you really don't need to do it." Then I explained why he DID need to do it, but he had already shipped out a few items to other people.

I'll bet they were REALLY happy to see that mess when they opened the box.
