Ive owned or had for extended periods:
RB-35
Chorus II
La Scala
SP-1
And Id have to say the Sp-1s are the first that Ive really wanted to keep around for an extended amount of time.I know they arent that popular with Klipsch lovers, but I LIKE the built-in subs. Its the first time I havent felt I needed a bigger amp than my 640 Azur.

i have a pair of kg-4.2 and have noticed that these don't sell on ebay. i recently saw a nice pair passed up at $99. i realize that it costs a bundle to ship, but i don't understand why these don't sell. in my opinion, they blow away the Heresey, yet the hereseys are selling like hotcakes for outrageous prices. i think the 4.2s have awesome bass for their woofer size and the horn is about as mellow a horn as i have ever heard. they will also crank! am i alone in my high regard or what gives?

Pair of Heresys - industrial cabinet - black with tweeter, mid and woofer exposed. White Klipsch lettering between the mid and woofer. Hooked up to TV set.

Original Forte's in oak.
To date, I've updated the crossovers with Sonicaps and Mills resistors. Replaced all internal wiring and installed Bob Crites' titanium diaphragms. All worthwhile and not insignificant upgrades.
Next thing to try is Crites' replacement autotransformers. I have them, just haven't gotten around to installing them. I've been too busy listening and enjoying those new diaphragms! :music:

all my speakers except my sub are from similar Reference lines... i know they're not thought of that highly by most, but i got good deals on them all (bought separately over a 2 year period) and they sound good to me! i'm sure i could upgrade at some point, but for movies and most music, i'm really happy with this setup - and i guess that's what matters, right?

Let's get you moved up to AK-3 at least, mmmk?
I have a pair of RF-5s. I think that they sound awesome with my tube amp personally. I have a vintage pair of New Advents that I had reconed and new crossovers. I also have two different pairs of KEFs and I have done lots of listening and the Klipsch are the best by far to my ears anyway.

I'm on the verge of putting together some FrankenCorns with various parts I've been collecting. I'll put up a report w/ photos when I get closer to putting it all together.
