Not to knock on someones auction but that's a pretty high spirited description for the B&W CDM-NT7. http://cgi.ebay.ca/B-W-CDM-NT7-Bowers-Wilkins-Floor-Tower-Speakers_W0QQitemZ380030455468QQihZ025QQcategoryZ1 4993QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

"The CDM-NT series is one step down from the widely & wildly acclaimed B&W Nautilus series. They have the same tweeters as the nautilus range and the same FST midrange driver (which bolts into the back of the cabinet for improved detail and accuracy." Actually no.

"The astute buyer will realize that the NT is virtually identical to the Nautilus with very similar electronics, drivers, design and performance….. at half the price!" Actually no, there's a huge difference and reason why the Nautilus series makes it in a studio and its more than just looks and a price.

"All things considered, these are simply the finest speakers I have ever had the pleasure of listening to, period! And that covers a LOT of ground in my 30 years of being a serious student of audio gear." Hmmmmm...

"There is no reason to believe that it will not serve well for many years. However, electronic items are unpredictable. It is being sold AS-IS." I was unaware that electronics were THAT unpredictable...

This is not a B&W. But they think it is and you know how that goes.

Not B&W, but those are actually very nice speakers (for small ones) --well, mid-to-tweeters, really-- nonetheless. They sell for a premium around here, too ---when you see them at all. Definitely not to be confused with cheap near-lookalike computer-speaker crud that has come out since.

I think it closed at $99 so someone got a deal in that case.

The speakers were bid on by a buyer with a feedback of (1) for $1300. Just can't put my finger on it but something about that looks suspicious.
