Hello, I need a working volume control for a Philco 40-145. I have this and another similar model for parts and both have bad pots. Any leads on one of these NOS or good used would be helpfull. If anyone needs any parts off of my junker set let me know. It has a good cabinet and chassis parts. I hate to toss the stuff but once I scavenge a few things I probably will.

Is that the console with the volume on sort of a sideways slide control?

Whats the value? tapped? switch? shaft?
I have a few NOS Philco "shaft saver" controls (saw the shaft off your busted pot and use it on the "new" one).

I knew everyone would take my request and run with it. Here in the moonshine foothills of Virginia there is plenty of the green stuff. One not need to go online!! Anyway this radio is not a console as someone asked. It is a wooden tabletop that is kind of "toombstone" and kind of not. Darn pot....Laughs. Sorry but that is the only way to explain the style. It is shorter and wider than the average tombstone. It has around 6 push button pre sets above the dial. Made in 1939 or 40. To Tom all I know right now is it has 3 contacts, is rotary, and is not a switch. A Philco part # is 33-5332-2 and below that is 9-341. I need to remove the thing and take a picture and some measurements. I have never posted a pic but that should not be a big deal.:zoom: :yippy: :grnbounce
