Ah after getting screwed om my last few pioneer buys, on the BAY, the gods have smiled on me.
My new buys have arrived.
A mint refurbished sx-650, so pretty, I gasped upon opening the box.
And a mint show room quality pl-50 turntable packed like the mona lisa, with super tender loving care.
both units looked like they were on the show room floor last week.
the 650 sang like a sensuous siren, hooked to the pl-50, spinning a couple of Les Paul vinyl albums.
Had to break out a bottle of Bushmills and a bucket of ice, and a hand blown tumbler, and sank back into the easy chair. I turned down the lights and was washed by the golden glow of the 650's tuner dial and meters, casting its Aurora through out the darkened room.
Lord take me now. It couldn't get any better then this.
The pl-50 looked like the wood case had been hand rubbed with the finest wood oils by dusky forest virgin wood nymphs........
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
I can hardly wait til my cs-o5's arrive to accompany my new mint cs-99's I picked up last week in person from an audiophile in Victorville, who just sold off his silver collection on ebay.
His sx-1250 that was refurbished was on the counter ready to be shipped off to the buyer who had snagged it that week on ebay. It had been in his living room since he bought in the seventies.
