I picked up a nice Les Dudek lp, Say no More. This lp was not found in my Goldmine catolog and states on lp "For governmental sale only". I know dudek play with several greats but was wondering if this was his only lp and if it is rare?

I'm not sure about it's rarity but it's a great LP.

I can tell you it's not his only LP
I have
Les Dudek (1976)
Ghost Town Parade (1978)

Yours is from 1977. The for Gov't sale only means it was likely sold at a PX

And you're correct he's played with many of the Greats
Allman Brothers-he co-wrote Jessica with Dicky Betts
Steve Miller
Boz Scaggs
Stevie Nicks
Emmylou Harris

He's still touring(Frickin canceled his Cat's Cradle(Carborro NC)Show though :cry

But if you're In Cali, you owe it to yourself to go see this fine fine guitarist
Slims in SF June 25th
Moe's Alley in Santa Cruz(if it's not burned to the ground) on the 27th

94.7 The aardvark of Album rock???
Home to The Bear's Den Rising stars concerts, where you could see the likes of Dire Straight or Joan Armatrading for 94 cents

That is one GREAT album! Best three tunes in row (Old Judge Jones, Baby Sweet Baby and What's It Gonna Be) I'd come across in a long time.:music:

You are correct. Maybe I was thinking of Greg Allman. Sure do love the song Central Park. Kinda Hendrixee.

The very one. Worked there in AM drive from '73 to '77. Joan Armatrading and the Ozark Mt. Daredevils at Dorton Arena was the first $.94 concert.

Well it's likely I grew up Listening to you. What was your on-air name?
I grew up it Durham, under the shadow of the 105.1(WDGC???) towers-bled into everything I listened too(Sucked then and still sucks now)
Finally got my first good receiver-Yamaha something and could pull you guys in.
Never changed the dial until the management bastards decide they knew what we needed-frickin country. So then it was off to 92.3(ashboro) and WRDU(106.1) and now they've gone country too.
Why cant the triangle have a good radio station again?

Both LPs are great (have them both). Les Dudek is southern rock, while Ghostown Parade is more New York rock. Both are definitely among my favorites.

Enjoy,
