My lovely wife bought me a copy of the DSOTM 30th Anniversary Vinyl. Has anyone heard this one yet? Is it so good that I have to open it and get it on the TT ASAP, or should I leave the shrink wrap intact and hold it until it's worth something on eBay?

Forget Ebay, your misses bought it for your enjoyment not someone else. :thmbsp:

Dude! Play that thing! She bought that as a gift to your ears. Let them enjoy it...it's a great pressing!

I see there is no clear opinion here... :scratch2: I say PLAY IT! Great pressing, and I guarantee it sounds even better out of the shrinkwrap. :thmbsp:

And there's posters and stickers in there. You'll want to hang the posters up and put the stickers on your trapper-keeper.

I couldn't keep it in the shrink wrap.
It would get played the moment it was in my hands.

LOL that Record is currently available every where you will be long dead before it carries more then a retail value on eBay if ever.

Play it.

from what I read and feel as a Pink Floyd collector.

the 30th ranks around the 3rd to forth best sounding pressing.

the First pressing UK and the UHQR MOFI version appear to run in the number one slot with the MOFI version in 2-3rd Then somewhere in there you get the early US pressing.

everyone has a different opinion But it's a fine version of the album and one you should enjoy hearing not looking at.

IMHO

I have the original on LP thanks to my parents, unfortunately they must have used the stickers and poster, but still for free I can't complain. It's unfortunate, however, that they only kept 1 box of vinyl and sold/got rid of 2-3 more. :(
