Sad news for jazz fans. Esbjorn Svensson died over the weekend while scuba diving in Sweden. I have seen the Esbjorn Svensson Trio a couple of times at the Montreal Jazz Festival and had tickets to see them next week at the Toronto Jazz Festival. Definitely one of my favourite modern jazz performers.

Oh, no. That's horrible news and a major loss. Esbjorn Svensson was in his creative prime. I always hoped to someday see the Esbjorn Svensson Trio---they were always creative and interesting.

Quite a shame, I will put on a tribute tonight at the house for Esbjorn.
