Come on down and say "hey". I work in security on the East lawn (the steep walkway). You can't miss me, I'm the only grey haired pony-tail guy down there among all the college kids.

Theater gates open at 5:15pm~ or thereabouts, I'd guess the lots open at noon or so (not 100% sure).

There are 3 acts:

Money Mark (I'd guess some sort of DJ, not sure)
Mason Jennings (from Mpls, this guy is awesome!)
Jack Johnson

Toss your empty $10 beer cups into a trash receptacle will ya? And NO I can't let you into the reserved seat area or backstage (boring, been there!).

And remember Summerfest starts 6/26/08.

Wow. Haven't been there in a zillion years. Saw my very first concert there in 1978. Thin Lizzy, Climax Blues Band, REO Speedwagon. All were at or close to the top of their respective games at the time. Jeez, that was THIRTY years ago!!!

I haven't been there for awhile either but it was the favorite place to see shows growing up. Iron Maiden blew the roof off back in '84. We saw Yes, Rainbow, The Cars, and other memorable shows as well.

A few years ago on my birthday weekend I rode in the Tour de Donut and then headed up to Alpine Valley to see Buffett. Talk about a great weekend.

I'd love to come up and see Jack Johnson but 2 days isn't quite enough notice for me these days.

Jimmy B is 7/19, I think all the reserved seats are sold out. Worth a tour of the parking lot before the show. They don't tell the employees about it during training. Scram knows cause he's one of the older guys.
