Has anyone transcribed the article he did for LIFE magazine back in the 60's?
There's pictures and articles about several groups, Jefferson Airplane, Gratefull Dead, etc..and there was an article written by FZ in that issue too.
I have it at home and will have to look up the issue number and date. ( I Googled it, June 28, 1968).

Thanks for that link, mhardy. I've read Wikipedia articles on Zappa before, but not that particular one. Seems like a lot of Zappa fans make entries in that 'book'.

I introduced our son (now 20) to Zappa's music in his early teens. He became a huge fan, and has amassed a significant collection of FZ's recorded output.

You never really know which seeds'll grow...
