What are you audiophiles using for a decent 2 channel amp or integerated amp?
Need a good 2-channel amp or integrated for $1000 to $1500? Hopefully with alot of digital and analog inputs. One that is quiet.
Recommendations welcome! (Also, will be driving 4 ohm speakers rated at 300 wpc max)
Really looking for one you have USED already and have been very fond of.
THANKS

You should be able to get an excellent 'classical' 2 channel amp and preamp, or integrated amp, for way less than a thousand, although there won't be any 'digital' inputs (not sure what you mean by that, anyway). I can recommend a Marantz 1250 integrated (125 wpc into 8 ohms) that looks and sounds good; it shouldn't cost you more than a few hundred to get one on eBay. I'm sure others here will shortly inundate you with other suggestions.
Oh, and welcome to AK.

For that kind of money, I think an Onkyo Grand Integra M-510 or Integra M-509 would do ANYONE proud (500 watts @ 4 ohm and 280 @ 4 ohm), add one of their pre's and away you go. I just dream of ownin' one of them!!

Go "Natural Sound" Yamaha CA-1000 or CA-1010 integrated amps. Both are real winners..

Ohhhhh, and they have it at PC Richards. Oppps. I just checked my PC Richards and although they do carry some Yamaha gear this amp isn't mentioned. Perhaps you can get it as a special order. It is around $1,840.

which speakers are you using?
maybe new speakers will change your audio life for the better than a new amp?

I'll put up a vote for the newish Bel Canto and Channel Islands Audio Class D offerings. BC has a nice integrated that can be had for around $1000, and CIA makes the D-100's, which are very nice monoblocks. The beauty of new gear like this is it typically does not need any restoration/refurbishing.

I'd go with the Pioneer SA-9900.

used McIntosh MC2100 or MC250 - they will hold their value well and sound quite good for the $$$. Add a preamp and you're in business.

I think the OP wants digital inputs due to the accessories they want to run. Optical in and DIN may be good options too. Problem is these technologies came along after the good old vintage days :( My guess is one of the biggest Sony or TEAC HT receivers from the 5.1 era will do. The have "two channel" as an option and still have a phono stage that is decent. Maybe there are intergrateds (without tuner), but why, when the receiver versions is plentiful on CL and at the thrifts?
I have a few of each and they are decent machines. The Sony was available in Silver. Both of my TEAC AVG's are darth vader black (which I dislike), but sound really nice playing vinyl or tape and driving Infinity speakers :) I'm pretty sure there are some decent Denon units out there too?

Hmmm, if I had that much, I'd track down an old PS Audio HCA-2.

New Yamaha MX-D1 class D digital amp, 500wpc. These are showing up new on ebay in the 1200-1300 range. As for quality, check the review in Stereophile.

NAD makes real quiet integrated amps. I've had one for 8 years & have never had a problem. They have quite a few line level inputs, but no digital inputs or phono pre-amp.

Wow, I didn't know Yamaha still made nice integrated amps like that. Where have I been?

A good alternative to listen to would IMO be a used, but not so old Accuphase. They are quite expensive new, but an E306 or an E405 could maybe have a reasonable price today. The build quality is outstanding, but not everybody like the sound. As always, listen at home is the only way.

I would suggest the Higher M series Yamaha amps. I came across an M 65 and an M 35, both of which are exceptional. The M 65 has plenty of power and a class A clarity that is a pleasure to listen to. I also can recommend the Pioneer SA 9500II.

I second this recommendation. The new units you can get in this price range leave no reasons (that I can see) to go with vintage or mass-market gear.
My $0.02 :)

I currently have one two-channel amp and one two-channel integrated, and both are excellent.
Amp: Adcom GFA-535 II (60 watts per channel)
Integrated: Pioneer Elite A35R (35 watts per channel)
