Found both an HK 680i and a Yamaha CR-220 via Craigslist -- given to me by a very kind and generous individual. Very exciting! Have been listening to both for the last few days and loving it (been without a good stereo receiver for a year or more now)

Welcome to AK, shimniok! :music:
Watch out for those Yamaha's... that "natural sound" can be addictive. :smoke:

Thanks all for the welcomes!
And thanks for the S Broadway tip... found myself in one store up there before I knew what to look for... will have to revisit (along with visiting estate sales, garage sales, watching CL ...) ... it now occurs to me that I *must* find a better turntable :D And probably that will lead me to realize all my vinyl is either filthy or junk... :D
