I’ve been checking out the site over the weekend and i have to say how impressed I am with the amount of information and wisdom to be found here. let me introduce myself. my name is Jay, I’m 44 and a San Diego native. I’ve been into vintage Pioneer since before it was vintage. I have always loved music and growing up in a town that seemed to have a stereo shop every couple miles, I guess it was inevitable I’d find myself here. My current system consists of: SA-6800 (bought new in ’80), CT-F750, TX-980, RT-909, SG-9800, SR-303, RG-2, DT-500, Technics SL-D1 TT and Kenwood KL888D speakers. Also have an HT system, but don’t get too excited about that (If it doesn't have bass and treble knobs is it really Hi-Fi?). as for music, it’s a little eclectic.
I like the rock classics, Zeppelin, Who, Aerosmith etc.
70’s Foghat, Eagles Supertramp.
80’s Psychedelic furs, B52’s Police.
90’s Metalica, Nervana, STP.
00’s Deftones, Interpol, AFI.
and endless one hit wonders.
Also into Donnald Fagen / Steely Dan
