This unit blows away most 20wpc-class units IMO. I just need to get ALL new bulbs for mine, since they're all toast. I have 8VAC at the lighting terminals. I'm going to retro-fit LEDs in there, since the plastic which holds in the bulb board is disintegrated.

But man, what a sound!! I love Marantz! On my external power meters, I never push this past 5wpc and its LOUD! :thmbsp::thmbsp::thmbsp:

All Marantz gear from that time are great. The fact that they are as serviceable as they are speaks for itself.
Build quality can't be beat.

Yes I MISS my 2250B. Greatest Marantz I ever heard.

I was given Realistic APM-200 power meters and I'm using them to monitor the Marantz's output power.

I see 3 or 4 adjustment VR's on the amp board, so I assume they're for DC and idle adjustment. Anyone know which test points are for what in the 2218?

As it stands now, the unit has around 8 or 9 mV of DC at both speaker outputs.
