View Full Version : Any new production 6V6 amps ?

Hello,

I would like to know if anyone is producing new 6v6 amps both stereo or mono. The 6v6 is a great tube for audio and new tubes are out there now even though NOS are still plenty. Thanks.

The 6V6 does not seem to be as fashionable as it's cousin the EL84 for stereo use lately. However, you are right, it's a fine tube. If you're looking for a turnkey 6V6 amp, I think that the Audio Tropic "Music Machine" might be the way I'd go. If you're looking to DIY an amp, I might suggest the RH 84 schematic, and use a 6V6 instead of an EL84.

Would anybody know the priceing on the Leben Amps? I have been all over the web looking and never found a price listed for them.

This one is nice but only sold in China, as far as I know. I might buy one after this summer when I return. Less than $250, new. I like the look too.
