I'd like to try a pair of their interconnects. The web site has been down for weeks. Does any body know if their still in business? I know they're a sponser of AK...any help would be appreciated. Thanks Frt8dog

Who knows. I ordered speaker cables and interconnects and after multiple attempts to contact them (even for payment) I've never heard back. I gave up now that it is 5 months later. I'm still looking for cabling.

Looks like somebody has one of those link-festival sites at that domain now.
Never heard their products but hate to see a suporter go belly up.

Whatever you do buy, make sure that the plugs are not "death grip RCA plugs." At Classic Audio Repair, we regularly see audio gear where the RCA jacks have been destroyed by the currently fashionable "death grip audio cables." In the last 60 days, we've seen two nice Adcom power amps damaged this way. What happens is the the plug grips so tightly that when it is disconnected the ground portion of the RCA jack comes with it!!!!!

The classical sign of a death grip RCA plug is that the ground portion of the plug doesn't have little slits in it to allow it to expand to conform to minor tolerance differences in the size of the RCA jack.

Fred.

I've had good experience with ZebraCables--you might want to check them out. Scott will take care of you (assuming he's not on vacation).
They are also a sponsor of AK.

And I fully agree with the "death-grip" plugs. :thumbsdn: A few AudioQuest cables that were bundled with my purchase had this "feature".

ZebraCables have Vampire-Wire locking RCAs as an option (this is what I currently use), so you can have the grip, but none of the hassle when you disconnect them again.

I second this. I run all Zebra Cables and Scott is great to work with. My Audioquest Copperhead's messed my adcom preamp just as Fred described.

Yep, those AudioPests were Copperheads on my end as well. Funny thing is that the pair of Diamondbacks were actually way too loose ...

btw., I have some old Tara Labs RCAs (death-grip extraordinaire) that have been hooked up to a TV for roughly five years, which I doubt I'll ever be able to get off safely... :D

Hello everyone, this is my first post on Audiokarma, but I've been a member for a while. I put in a order with Guerrilla Audio for speaker cables, power cables and power ports for over $800 on June 27th, 2008. Order was completed and my credit card was charged. A few days after that, checking G.A. web site, there was a pop up saying they were on vacation until July 14th, 2008.
Ok, no problem I can wait. I e-mailed him and left a message on his 800 number on July 15, 16 and on July 17th, I e-mailed him again, and told him that if I didn't hear from him by Friday July 18, to consider the contract null and void and I wanted a credit card refund.
Well low and behold, I get an e-mail on July 18th, he said he was sorry, order should not have gone through, blah, blah, blah. I told him I accepted his apology, and to go ahead and send the order. He then e-mailed back, telling me that he would make the cables that day and ship them out on Monday July 21st, send me a tracking number and express mail them and I would get them on July 22nd.
Not hearing anything, I e-mailed him again on July 21, asking about a tracking number. His e-mail was sent back as undeliverable.
Got home from work on July 22nd, no package, no tracking number no nothing. I then e-mailed him again (for the record/ paper trail) telling him to refund me and my credit card the $802.43.
Today, July 23rd, I called my credit card issuer and started the process of disputing the charge.
So beware of Guerrilla Audio (PS: now his web site has changed with none of his cables or any account info, like the orginal web site).
Sorry, my very first post has to be such a downer.

Audiokarma cannot continue to support a site that has business practices such as this. We will be dropping Guerrilla on the first of August as they are paid till that Date.
