Hello fellow AK'ers!

I've been browsing this forum for quite some time, and I recently fell in love with Marantz. I got a "pretty" good condition 2220B. When I popped it open I was greeted with 30 year old dust that has been caked on. Thankfully the caps appear to be in good condition and it sounds terrific. Here are my problems:

My dials are that nice green color :thumbsdn:. So I decided to replace the vellum. Turns out it was an aged yellow color, but replacing it didn't fix the color much. My problem became apparent when I looked at the bulbs. Someone decided it was a good idea to put non-fuse type bulbs in it. They put what look like car side marker bulbs in and soldered a piece of wire in to make them work . So part numbers would be nice for those bulbs if anyone has them handy. Or the name of the fellow AK'er who does the LED replacement bulbs. Whichever will give me that beautiful blue color.

My second problem is the tuning string was un-hooked when I opened it. It is in fine shape but just not hooked up properly, if someone could give me the diagram I would appreciate it greatly.

Finally, my tuning "pointer" or stylus light is burned out. I looked at it and it is hard wired to the board it looks like. What is a suitable replacement for it?

Other than those little problems I am extatic about my first piece of Marantz gear.

Thanks guys!
Alex

AK member dgwojo (http://home.earthlink.net/~dwojo/index.html) can fix you up with bulbs. Can't find my schematic for the dial string.
