Well this is my first post in the McIntosh forum :)

I finally did it. I just finished buying my first McIntosh system and I am thrilled!

I got a C-32, MC-2155, and MR-74

I have been noodling around with the idea of picking up some MC for a while now, so I just bit the bullet and did it.

I don't have photo's because I don't have the gear yet. I am terrified that it will get damaged in shipping. I have been assured that they know how to pack MC... We will see.

I do have a couple of questions to ask you experts though...
1. How do I find out what model number of wood case fits each of my new pieces?
2. If I do get a damaged face plate (that seems to be the most common shipping casualty), can I get replacements? Where would I get them?

Any tips and or tricks that I should know about being a "noob"?

When I get everything I will be sure to post some photos to show you my new toys.

Cheers

Congratulations! You can get just about any replacement parts from McIntosh. If you call them they will be more than happy to talk to you in the service department. You probably can get woodcase numbers from them as well. There was a company that advertised here at AK that had some really good looking wood cases with a variety of species.:yes:http://mcintoshcabinets.com/

Congratulations on some nice Mc gear! That sounds like a nice combination.

L52 or L12 (wood wedge feet) for the '32 and '74 and I think the same for the '2155. If the front panel is the same height, then it uses the same cabinet but double check on this.

Their sponsor banner is below and they have a rather nice looking sale going on.
He will even make a factory looking cabinet for models that did not ever come with the option too.

Welcome and congrats!

I think Skippy is right on the cabinet model. If Mac happens to be out of a particular glass (sometimes happens) or if you need additional help with parts, be sure to give Ryan Kilpatrick of Audio Classics a shout. He's at http://www.audioclassics.com . They're in Vestal, NY just a few minutes from the McIntosh plant. 800-321-2834 or 607-766-3501. You can also find Ryan on this forum-audioclassics1. He's a great guy and can help out a lot.

Good luck with your new gear! I have a C32 myself.

Thanks Everyone!
I have already put in an inquiry to McIntosh via the web site.
I will drop the guys at Audio Classics a line today.
Those cabinets look fantastic! I will figure that one out today too.
Thanks so much.

L52 or L52A is correct size for the MC2155.
The L52(W) is 1-1/2" too wide.
