Well after my borbely hybrid fiasco I was kinda bummed out. Proto boards are nice, but not for anything that has a high number of components. Anyway, I wanted something simple but nice. I have successfully constructed many Yaha's and a Szekeres, so I decided to combine them. There have been many variations of this design on the web, but with high voltage. I am not into burning the house down yet, so I went with a 12v design. So since I have been playing with TINA I thought why not. Tina put out a pretty much stable output with 18dB of gain (close to thirty with an ecc88 ). So put it together in a surplus project box from ebay and viola. Sounds very nice with a lead acid 12v 1.3Ah. I will try a switching supply next ( I am enjoying it right now ). I am so stoked right now. Credit to FA Schmidt for the front end and Mr. Szekeres for the second stage. NOTE: The first stage have 1/4 watt resistors and I used 2 watt in the second, R5 must me a min of 5W and the Fets must be heatsinked and isolated with mica)
