My wife is in Mexico right now rehearsing for her first show coinciding with the release of her first CD. She composed and produced the entire album, start to finish.

Recently hooked up with Eumir Deodato and now has him for guidance - maybe a project coming in the near future involving the two of them.

Wow! I'm impressed! You guys know and work with Deodato. I've always been a fan of his work. My first exposure to him was his version of Zarathustra from 2001. Once I heard his version of Caravan, I was a die-hard fan.

My wife met him back in the day when she was 7. Her dad and uncles have been playing together since the early 60's and took her to the show. During the show she kept yelling out his name to say hi. In his true self he smiled and waved back. After the show they were invited back stage where he picked her up and carried her while he visited with the others.
It was only recently that they came in contact with one another yet he still remembers the show he performed then in Xalapa, Veracruz and meeting some friendly little girl backstage.
I know that he's also on tour in Europe right now hitting the jazz fest's.
Sadly, I have yet to meet the genius but I can't wait til I do. If you wanna check out some serious classic Deodato check out this,

If you like his A.S Zarathustra you should hear his rencdition of Zeppelin's Black Dog!!!

Very... sweet! I like the music.

I've also been a fan of Deodato since the 70s. It would be interesting to hear what happens!

So how come you didn't get to go south?

Everyone down there is asking the same. Originally we were trying to plan that as my wife and others love my live sound reinforcement - I've been blessed with golden ears. I'm held back though as I needed to stay here and work. not to mention we have 2 wonderful little boys, Tyler (7)and Brandon(1) and so I preferred that we stay up here and enjoy the summer instead of them being dragged along to radio and TV staions for interviews and such.
The nice thing about her music is that it's even better live! For her live show she's got a nice brass ensemble; Trumpet, Trombone and Sax. Bass, percussionist, drummer, guitar etc. I think all in all there'll probably be about 10 musicians on stage.
So her show is on August 14th in the city of Coatzacoalcos. Some here may have heard of the city as it exported one of the hottest women ever to Hollywood!
