Hi, Does anyone know of vintage audio shops in the Pittsburgh, Pa. area?
I am new to this hobby, and dont like buying from that auction site, so looking for local deals. CL is hit or miss. mostly miss by the time I get home, and get online, anything good is allready gone..
So, if anyone knows any good shops, and vintage repair places please let me know..
Thank You

Atlas Audio on Liberty Ave in Bloomfield.
Also there's a guy that advertises on CL from the North Hills/West View area that owns a shop/showroom full of vintage stuff. I don't think he has a store name or anything. I think it's kind of a part-time thing for him but I've been inside his place and it's pretty impressive. Right now he has a Kenwood intergrated amp on CL, so do a seach for that and I'm pretty sure that's him and his phone #.

Try posting what you are looking for in the free ads here at AK.
Buying from another AKer is much safer than the auction route!

You mean to tell me that there's such an animal as a brick and mortar vintage audio shop?!
I hate living in the freakin' boondocks.:grumpy:

Yes, I hear there are such places but I know what you mean about living in the boondocks. I can't even find anything at the goodwill for gods sake! (unless I were looking for cutesy glassware of brass candlesticks, then it's a goldmine!)
