"Lament", we missed half the concert.
After getting stuck in one of the most frustrating traffic jams I've ever been in (35 mile trip takes three hours), we finally raced into the Park West in Chicago to see absolutely the finest half show ever. King Crimson blew the place apart. Even though we were disappointed at our late arrival we quickly moved past it and enjoyed the remainder of the show. By the time they finished the night with an ass-kicking "Indiscipline", we were screaming our lungs out. If you are in Philly or N.Y. try and get a ticket. :thmbsp:
To quote Adrian Belew..."I LIKE IT!"

Sounds great, though sorry about the traffic!
Who's in the line up for the tour - is Bruford still a part of it? Would love to see him and Fripp play someday.

Oh man, three hours for 35 miles!!! That sucks. Sorry about that Ed. I'd love to see King Crimson someday. Not many tour stops this year. Until then, I have a very nice DVD (Eyes Wide Open) that I can watch at my leisure. Not the same, I know, but it's still very good.

Cheers

Current line up is
Robert Fripp (of course) guitar
Adrian Belew guitar and vocals
Tony Levin bass
Pat Masteletto drums
Gavin Harrison drums

The two drummers sounded like they were in sync. They started out the last encore with about a five minute drum solo that just about knocked you out.

I'm going Tuesday night to see them at the Keswick in Glenside PA (Philly). I have been stoked since we got our tickets 6 months ago when they went on sale. The last time I saw KC as KC was at the old Tower in Philly at the time Beat and Discipline came out. Bruford played the Electronic kit while Levin played the first Stick I ever saw. They blew me away then and I'm hoping for the same.

I also got to see Belew with his Power Trio last year, Eric and Julie Slick who played a lot of KC tunes but it's just not the same.

This tour, one drummer is from Porcupine Tree and the other is better known from XTC but at one time joined Bruford for double drums with KC. (not sure what year)

Sorry to hear about the traffic, that sucks. Glad you were able to enjoy a good show.
