Is anyone else having problems posting pictures????
Mine aren't posting via 'attach files'-'manage attachments'.

Got some good nice pics of the outside of the Sansui factories but for some reason they just won't post. I guess it's down or something.

I'd love to see the pictures. You are probably running into the file size limit. They need to be less than 120kb or so.

Yes that happened to me once. After trying many times I gave up and then uploaded them to Photo Bucket and just placed the images in the post using the picture button and the URL.

Each pic is about 730kb each on average. I posted one of the pics, on the left side, next to my bluesky, AK member, heading introduction (Saitama Plant with the wooden speaker design on the building). That photo worked no problem. For some reason the button 'attach files - manage attachments' which I use to attach photos doesn't want to function, pushed it, nothing happens. It doesn't lead me to the next step. Posting rules says: You 'may' post attachments. I have always been able to post, never had a problem before. Who knows, anyway, they are really nice large outside, on the street, factory pics!! (for the Sansui history guys!!)

Rabbit: I may have to try your route, however thats done? They are just not my pics and I don't want to take any credit for them.

...Just checked, the photos may not be in a: "Valid file extension", compatable photo format to post???

That's the reason. Max 120kb allowed

Here are a couple of much earlier plants that Mr. Kikuchi used to accomplish his dream.

As Stene said, your files are too big. They need to be less than 120kb. Shrinking the size of the image to avatar size may have dropped it enough to use as an avatar.

Yes, that's the problem. I just tried from my HP PC vice the Sony Vaio laptop and at least I got in to post the pictures but the size was way to big. Each photo is 730kb each or larger. (my Sony Vaio has been having headaches lately)

How do you shrink the size of the image to avitar size???

Your camera probably came with software that will allow you to reduce the resolution and size of a picture. Don't shrink it to avatar size, that's a little too small.

If you have a PDF printer you can "print" them to a PDF file. The file sizes for PDF files are much larger than for JPGs (for some reason). They have a 900 or so KB limit. You can download free PDF printers drivers (a good one is Cute PDF). Download it and then run the install program, it will install a printer driver called Cute PDF and allow you to "Print" to a PDF file. Works great.

Hi Stene and all,

I will try Photoscape.

I got a ton of stuff to do for the next couple days so I don't have to much time to get into this but I do want to get these 20 pictures out to you guys.

Thanks for all the help to try to figure this one out how to do this size reduction in kb. :thmbsp:

It's always something! That's technology. With my new Panosonic telephone I got a 98 page manual on how to operate the telephone when I bought it.
98 pages!! Jeees, all I needed was a new phone to make phone calls!

I'll get into Photoscape as soon!!
