Hey, this is neat.

I just realized that I have a pretty cool record. Needs a quick set up story.

I used to work at KPIX in San Francisco. KPIX was the home of P.M. Magazine. Some of you may remember it from the 80s. Stations all over the country did stories, sent them to KPIX and then KPIX sent all the stories to every station. Then the local stations shot "wraps" with local talent and, without a ton of local effort, they had a locally produced show. Damn, it was good too. Those of us in local television still talk about how well produced those shows were and many folks owe their career to that show. I'm once removed from the show myself.

Anyhow, when I worked there, the show was long gone, but the offices were there. And they had records. Lots of records. I used to, um, borrow a few. Accidently, a few of them are still in my collection. Crap, I bet they were all thrown away by now.

Ok, so I pulled out the above mentioned Gang of Four record only to find the original press release and the publicity photo of the band! Now that's kinda cool! The record has the PM Magazine sticker on the jacket and is catagorized as "Punk" lol.

Pretty cool!

Take care,

Ed
