Nak 610 - MC pick-up?

Hello there

I've just bought a Technics 1210, with some kind of DJ Pick-up:thumbsdn: So now I'm looking for a new one. But my problem is, i don't know my Nakamichi 610 pre amp can use a Moving coil Pick-up without any kind of step-up? Anybody who can answar this?

On the back of the amp, there is a button right above the phono line, whit 3 options, 100k - 50k - 0,2k. have this anything to do with that?

Hi there Louis.
I´m fairly certain, that your Nak 610 is for mm and high output mc cartridges only.
The button you´re mentioning, is probably the same as on my Pioneer sa-9800, this sets the input resistance and as far as I know only works with the mm´s.
I found this link: http://www.hifi-studio.de/hifi-klassiker/nakamichi.htm and there´s also only mentioned 2 mm inputs.
