pioneer elite receiver vsx-07tx , just bought one at an estate sale .

care to give an educated opinion of this receiver? if i keep it ,it'll
be my first surround amp , running off a panasonic tx-42-px75u tv.

anyone have a source for a manual of this complicated monster receiver?
pioneer doesn't have them on pdf . this thing was made NOV '97 in Japan.

i hooked it up to a car speaker when i bought it , the amps work, as does
the tuner. not sure how to fiddle w/ the surround garbage. i'm a 2 channel guy , but it might be cool for movies .

what about a remote.....can i get an allinone to run the menus and crap?

any help would be appreciated.

My dad has this same unit. I think he payed like 1200 for it new in the mid to late 90's. It is hooked up to a mirage 5.1 system.

It sounds INCREDIBLE. Pioneer elite is really really good stuff. It sends out tons of pure, clean power. I had to hook up my ps3 to his system (even though the tv, also pioneer elite, is not hd) just to hear the sound. All the blu ray's i pumped through it via optical sounded outstanding.
