I purchased a set of EPI Model 500's (sound awesome) and a pair of Realistic Mach ones for $120.00. I know what the Mach ones are selling for, but I kind find much info on the EPI`s? Has anyone seen any sold lately (other then these:D) or know a round-a-bout value?

did you find the humanspeakers info on them? Is this the EPIs you got?

If they sound great they are worth something, but folks other than us are getting away from towers so maybe 75-125 depending on sound quality. I have not heard of a selling price on these though.

Yeah, I saw that on there website. They sound awesome, I guess maybe they are a bit rare. I'm not sure I'm going to sell them, cause they really sound great but with the assortment of speakers I have and lack of room, something's got to go! Time to do some heavy listening and deciding :scratch2:!!

Well I found a pair of 250's of e-bay and they sold for $229.00, about half of their original retail price.

So would my logic be correct by saying the 500`s should be valued around $420.00 or so?

But is that a fair comparison? Have your pair had $400 of new drivers installed in them, as the ebaY sale you quote does?

I'd keep them and sell however many common-but-good-sounding speakers it takes to make room for them. I've never seen a pair of these but would JUMP on them if they popped up around here. I have a pair of 400s, but they're a different beast altogether...and I'd love to hear the 500s as well. Congrats on the find.

Why would they? They dont need them. They have all the original drivers and have been well taken care of. Recently refoamed woofers and mids and sound top notch!
Just because he had to spend that much on his speakers to get them up to par, doesnt make these, that are already in that condition, worth any less?

Thanks! They do sound amazing:thmbsp:. Thats just what I may end up doing! If I can sell some of the others to make room. I know the epi`s would sell fairly quick. I will just have to get some of the others listed and see what happens!

Upgrades. xover, too. Glad you enjoy the original stuff. Upgrades are useless, I agree.

Actually they aren't worth anything until you sell them. You're also comparing apples to oranges. What market were you going to sell them on - eBay or Craigslist. If eBay, how much would have to be tacked on for shipping. I seriously doubt someone would bid $400 for these and then another $100 or so to have them shipped. If Craigslist you're dealing with a local market and in that local market who would be the buyer - probably someone like us here on AudioKarma or AudioAsylum etc. I know I personally wouldn't pay $400 for them and I doubt many on here would.
But then again I thought my M400's sounded like crap and was glad to get rid of them for $200. I did price them according to my market, sales channel and consumer so they sold in a day. Could they have sold for more, maybe
