I got just won a pair of B&W DM602 S2's on ebay. Now I'm looking for a amp to drive this puppies. There are 4 input terminals on the back of each speaker. (see pic) http://i20.ebayimg.com/02/i/001/02/ed/d1c6_1.JPG

Does this allow for easily bi-amping the speakers? I'm not sure what kind of amp to use for this speakers. I'm looking to spend around $200-300 on an amp(s).
Do you guys have any suggestions? (I'm kind of a noob with these setups, but I am definitely starting to love the hobby, I love music for than anything :D )

Thanks

I have these speakers in my office 15'x26' 14" ceilings, I drive them with an NAD C372 Integrated Amplifier, bought dirt cheap along with a C422 tuner, and C542 CD player on Craigslist. Can't say you would gain anything by Bi-Amping, no pun intended. Order of priority IMO is speakers first then source, then amp as to spending money.
Welcome to a great hobby (obsession)

Although the two pairs of terminals allow for bi-amping, doing so will not bypass the internal crossover, so you don't get one of the benefits of biamping, which is using an external, line-level crossover. You can bi-wire, running separate speaker cables from one amp to the two pairs of terminals - I've heard benefits on some setups from biwiring, but if you look around AK a bit, you'll see that is controversial. I wouldn't worry about it, at least for now - leave the jumpers in place and run one pair of cables to get started.

I have the 602s also. no bi-wire, just 1 pr wires to amp and they do just fine. drive em with a GOOD amp. I use a sansui au517 65 watter to room filling sound, very clean. put em up on stands tho for best results, 18" or so. I found a pair on CL, black wood, matches the spkrs, looks good.

Very good speakers for the price, no doubt. Try a Rotel or Nad amp with it, should work good in your price range. Don't worry about bi-amping.

actually any decent aamp 30-70 watts will do. they're efficient spkrs. you can pretty much pik and chooz your amp/integ amp. My Kenwood KA7100 integ. 60 watts also does the job outstandingly

I tri-amp with internal pass xover and love it. I can match amps to drivers better and it is a poor mans EQ. I was listening to Dave Mathews live in Central Park last night and I could tone down the tweet as the recording highs where tooooo high and tone up the woof as the recording was bassless when set flat. Cheers and good luck.

I think I'm going to pick up an AudioSource AMP-200. Seems to be the best bang for the buck from what I've been reading. 80 Watts at 8 Ohms should be enough to get these speaker to bump pretty good (since I will be using them at house parties :D )
