I scored a couple of the Star Trek movie soundtrack LPs along with some albums that Leonard Nimoy released on his own, he's actually a pretty good singer.

Anybody else have these or know how collectible they are?

I have his first one; had it since it was new. (I wouldn't admit that just anywhere!)
I doubt they're very collectible but I dunno.

I would opine that pretty good singer may be stretching things a bit, unless you are comparing him to Wm. Shatner...

:D

He's no Sinatra but better than I expected.

He's no Shatner, either, and thank heavens for that. 'Ol Len did the best job he could with what talents he had (has?), but as with most celebrity crossover "vanity" projects, the resulting effort borders on kitsch. Enjoy!

I've got an LP that has Shatner on it.. more kind of a spoken word thing.. interesting to say the least..

I hope the Star Trek one isn't worth anything, because I passed over some this past weekend..

Good lord. Nimoy is *not* a good singer! He's amusing on "Highly Illogical", but if you've ever heard his cover of "Proud Mary", it'd make you cry...and not in a good way.

Very intertesting.. that Shatner vid is similar to what I have, only what I have is a lot more modern and a whole album.. He sure was doing a number on that smoke..

I have Highly Illogical on a Dr. Demento collection, and it's funny.....but hearing him sing....:barf:

Also, I have heard that Sulu is into country....can anyone confirm?

I actually bought The Touch of Leonard Nimoy LP this week at the GW just for poops and giggles - haven't spun it yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing what all the buzz is about.

Not that I endorse this sort of thing :nono: but in this one case I thought it would be worth noting... y'all could check out the whole thing (http://www.megaupload.com/de/?d=E1LK3375) if you're really curious. FOR PREVIEW PURPOSES ONLY of course. :D

Personally I like to play this one with Johnny Rivers "Realization" and Glen Campbell's "By The Time I get to Phoenix-" just get into one of those rainy day late sixties vibes.
