KG2 Value

I am pondering a local to me pair of Klipsch KG2s in apparently very nice shape. Buyer is asking $150, which I believe to be on the high side, but obviously with no shipping involved, etc. Would an offer of $100 be out of line, or still too much? I'm not looking for the deal of the century but also don't want to spend much as these would be paired with a secondary system.

Yeah, but not much history shown right now, although a similar pair needing some refoaming are listed now (just a few hours left) for $75 opening bid or $120 BIN plus $50 shipping with no bidders. Plus, I don't think ebay prices are necessarily comparable to local prices.

If it helps I sold a set of Black Kg 2's for $50 on Craigslist. I would assume a nice set in woodgrain would fetch more.

I've seen a few pairs in th $75 range, but too far for me to drive. I'm holding out for a $50 pair.

I have a pair and like them but wouldn't pay $150 for a pair. At that price, you'd be moving into what KG-4s can go for. I think the wood looks much better than the black painted ones (which is why I'm sanding mine and watching the thick black paint turn to tar...ew).
