I have what looks like an absolutely mint ST-5130 on the way, at least cosmetically. No idea if it works. There is no wood case and I was wondering if any common receivers share the same one. If the tuner works it would be great to find a cheap receiver and do a transplant. Thanks.

Or talk to this guy about building you one. I believe he gives an AK discount.

I don't know if the receivers cabinet will be totally correct as the ones for receivers have cooling slots in them and the tuner and preamp probably do not. A friend has the preamp power amp, tuner and cassette all in cabinets. I'll have to remember to check these, but I expect at least three of them to have solid tops without slots.

Thanks Holst, that guy seems to do beautiful work. However, I was thinking more along the lines of a same sized BOTL tuner that I could buy for $50 and then sell for $40 without the case!
