I just got one given to me but the stylus is toast it has a Shure cart is it a decent table and is it worth it to buy a new stylus or just get a better cart all functions seem to work ??

I don't know or recall the LAB-260, but are you sure the Cartidge is toast? Is only the needle missing? You could get a fairly inexpensive Cartridge for $50 to get back into it. If only the needle(or stylus) is missing, you could get the RS number from the cartridge to see what its real Name and Model number is. You could probably buy a replacement Stylus for around $25- they usually slide off as a cradle, and the needle is attached to the cradle. I have a LAB-400 with an RS1000E, which is really a Shure M91E. Lpgear.com has replacements for this model.
