I read an old post by Goldear saying a CJ PV2AR can be upgraded to a PV6. I have a PV1 that was factory upgraded to a PV2Ar in 1984. Just wondering whether my upgraded CJ PV1 to PV2Ar can have that PV6 upgrade as well and if my tube tech could do this? Love this Preamp as-is but hey it's about time for this to be serviced SOOOOO why not.... right? Is it worth it etc., Goldear.... Anyone? Cheers.

I emailed them a year ago looking for some old user manuals, they answered and enclosed the pdf files, all within a couple of hours. CJ customer service is always excellent.

I kind of figured they would be of help BUT since I saw Goldear's reply post from a couple years back and opinion of the upgrade I was hoping to get advice first before contacting CJ. I got this PV a few months back along with a pair of Snell type C's for a song and am REALLY lovin' em.
