Just picked up a mint looking
SHERWOOD NEWCASTLE SURROUND SOUND RECIEVER R756 that had little use from an estate sales.
I wanted a DTS/Dolby Digital Receiver for the bedroom since I was using my Nakamichi AV-1 for movies which was a shame since it is so nice for 2 channel.
I was blown away by the sound of this Sherwood Newcastle unit even in stereo hooked up to 2 B&W 601S3's. The sound is rich pure enjoyment. Even though it does not have HDMI I would put this $100.00 unit against many modern units that cost considerably more. For the 3rd time Sherwood has shown it self to be a nice sleeper. First the nice vintage solid state 7100, then the sweet powerful Sherwood S-5000 tube amp and now this one.
