Yamaha Cassett deck K-450

I got this little gem for free and after a good cleanup it works quite well. I looked it up on the net and from what I've been able to find this is a mid 80's Cassett deck and not much more info. Anyone know any more about this deck?Is it a keeper or a closet clunker?? made a typo its a K-420 cassett deck

The K-420 is exactly the same as the K-27. It is a step or two above a basic deck from a quality manufacturer. It's a step up because it has Dolby C and auto reverse, although some people would argue that an auto reverse deck is a step down. Nothing to write home about but the price was right!

Personally I wouldn't use it for any serious recording but as long as it's running and adjusted right, it should make a decent playback deck.
