Hi, can someone help me to find suitable replacements for these caps, They are from a Technics SA-800A with 125 w.p.c.
They read 80v 15000uf black neg. +85c With what appears to be a Mitsubishi logo and ce62 beside it.
I started looking online and just got confused, I normally am not this dumbfounded, but since having to start taking seizure medication my mind is not what it used to be...
I am not sure what type these are, and was unaware there are so many variables in types..
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Mike
Also they measure 2" diameter, and 4" high

The closest I have come up with so far is this one > http://www.mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=CGS153U100V4Cvirtualkey539000 00virtualkey539-CGS100V15000C...which is a whopping $49.73 each!
Maybe someone else will search Digikey for you, that place confuses me!!!

What's the actual voltage on the caps? Can you drop down to a 75V cap?
(I'd think 'yes', since you only need about +/-60V or therabouts to hit 125W. A 700M makes 200WPC on 75V caps).
18,000µf 75V Nippon Chemi-Con, 2" x 3.125", some of the best CG caps on the planet for $16 apiece: http://www.newark.com/06H1271/non-stocked/product.us0?sku=united-chemi-con-36da183f075bb2n&_requestid=163450

Here's a more reasonable choice price wise> http://www.newark.com/95F4477/passives/product.us0?sku=united-chemi-con-36da153f100bd2a only $20.17 each...that's more like it!
The dimensions are smaller at 1.375" x 3.625" but you could wrap some self stick foam(like weatherstripping) around the base of the cap so the clamp will hold it.
EDIT> Echowars is the man! beat me to the post

Avionic> That cap is a snap mount, which I have always shied away from. Are there any issues with soldering to the snap lugs, they look so small and I'd be afraid of heating them up too much.....just wondering.
I here the Panasonic caps are really good.
