grillebilly 09-26-2008, 04:24 PM I guess doing the sound track from the kids cartoon "Rugrats' has mellowed him a bit.
The pic with him and the chick is borderline for this site, Grumpy may have to put you across his knee!!
similost 09-26-2008, 04:27 PM aw.. she's dressed... It was the best picture I could find of him looking like he really used to.. and thought seeing him with an "adult entertainer" was actually kinda funny..
similost 09-26-2008, 04:35 PM OK.. I changed it.. Happier Rick? :p:
ANd.. to make up to you for it, I'll include a video of him long time ago playing my favorite DEVO charecter.. Booji Boy... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psz8yiW_jos&feature=related

Holy Cow
Holy Nancy
Did I just say that -sorry
I heard them in concert recently and Ann seems to have lost the power in her voice, back in the day she was one hot singer.

Mark, when I saw the first GD picture I was afraid of what you'd pull up for the "now".

RussinOhio 09-26-2008, 09:59 PM Don't have any pics right now but I'll say I have WAY too many favorites that it is impossible to pick even a few . As far as Nancy Wilson is concerned....I have to say that I just adore this woman for her singing voice!

I always thought that Nancy sang better than Ann; remarkable that Heart's biggest-selling single ever, "These Dreams" had Nancy as lead vocalist.

similost 09-27-2008, 06:29 AM LOL.. Jonesy looks like he could stand a couple prunes... It really is interesting to see how people change, and especially people that have lived some pretty hard party lives (for those that did, or still do.. (Keith?))
My wife and I will watch a movie, and comment about how people have changed so much, and wonder what it is like for a person that has been in the media a lot, or movies, and to sit and watch one of their old movies (or videos) and see their selves how they have changed..
Madman007 09-27-2008, 06:53 AM Not exactly a favorite although some of the older stuff is ok pop, Yes, I had to put this one up for sheer Shock and Lol factor.

chuckworkb 09-27-2008, 12:15 PM I looked at all these pics, and I think.......
What the heck happened to Ann Wilson and Linda Ronstad - girls put down that twinkie, please!
Grace looks like a completely different person - no other words come to mind
I actually think Ginger Baker looks better old, and that is probably because he isn't taking hits of acid any more.
Keith Richards - he looks like he was hit by a truck
Michael jackson - I agree with the poster - WTF?????
Elivis Costello - why is it when you get old your head always seems to get bigger?
David Bowie - He looks like he is 30, but that is probably due to some kind of surgery
Pete Townsend - looks better now that he isn't high at the time of the photograph, or at least he is hiding it better.
Aging agrees with some, but others - hmmm - maybe not so much!
tboat4 09-27-2008, 12:28 PM I saw Linda Ronstadt with the Stone Ponies on a U.S.O. tour when I was stationed in Korea late in 1967 or early '68. She was really hot, and took the time to talk with a lot of G.I.'s.
She doesn't quite look the same now, but then, neither do I.
similost 09-27-2008, 02:03 PM Some even grow up and look respectable...

ScramMan2 09-27-2008, 10:13 PM Jerry Garcia, 1st pic Sept 28, 1975, and second pic the last show at Soldier Field, Chicago, July 1995 2-3 weeks before he died. RIP Jerry, we miss you a lot. I know you're smiling since the music has never stopped.

Well, I dunno about youse, but I gotta admit that I think most folks looked better "then" than they do "now"...

Proconsul 09-28-2008, 11:22 AM Not that this is a music criticism posting, but I gotta say -- I never liked Heart at all, at all. Not my cup of tea. And despite growing up just south of San Francisco, graduating from high school in 1969, and all that, I never got into the Dead. Heck, I was even a college radio DJ in the early '70's and I never go into the Dead. Not that I disliked them, maybe I never was exposed to their music in the right circumstances. The Who, yeah, I wore out Tommy and later Who's Next, don't know where I missed the boat on the Dead. Anyone got a suggestion for THE Dead record that will convert me?

I didn't get into them the first time I saw them live either. It took another show to convert me. A lot of it depended on the "mood" of the show.
The best two studio albums IMO are American Beauty and Workingmans Dead. They built a 30+ year career on those songs from 1970. The live shows were built around those songs and covers.
I'm your age, and was a PT DJ in HS/College too. In between there was Vietnam.
