Been saving my pennies, and I have a copy of "Aja" 30th anniversary from Cisco on the way from soundstage direct, I ordered it based on good things I have heard about this release.

Has anyone done a comparison between the 1st ABC release, and the 30th anniversary release? I have a 1st and 2nd ABC pressing of "Aja", and was wondering how the new LP will compare sound wise. 1st pressing sounds damn good to me! The word is that the mastering on the Cisco is even better! I'll know soon, I guess, but would love to hear what you guys that have had a chance to listen to it think.... :scratch2:

I picked the Cisco LP up a while back but did not previously have a copy so can't make a comparison. I will say that it's the best sounding thing I've ever heard on my system. Down side is some surface noise between tracks and on runout.

Search on Aja and you'll probably find Wardsweb's thread about this album. He also noted the surface noise IIRC. Don't remember what he used for A/B but he has at least a dozen different pressings and had nothing but great things to say about the sound.

I have the Cisco pressing and while I don't have the ABC 1st, I do also have a Mobile Fidelity half-speed remaster. The Cisco blows the MoFi away, hands down!
